Exploring Yosemite With Your Family

There is really no comparison when it comes to the majesty of California’s gem, Yosemite National Park. Right in the heart of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, this park is a wonderland for those looking to hike, bike, rock climb, explore, or just drive through. From sheer rock monoliths and plunging waterfalls, to lakes, meadows, and incredible wildlife, the natural beauty of Yosemite shines from every orifice.

Yosemite National Park is a true treasure of the National Park System.

Our family spent a long weekend in Yosemite National Park in March of 2018, and had the time of our lives.  We weren’t quite sure what to expect with the weather and a chance of snow, but decided that a good attitude was all we needed to make it a great adventure.  Seeing Yosemite in the snow was MAGICAL, and we explored so many fun places – Yosemite Falls, Mirror Lake, and Vernal Falls, as well as the Visitor Center, the Ahwahnee Hotel, and hikes through the valley floor meadows.  We threw lots and lots of snowballs, built a few snowmen (including “P.T. – The Greatest Snowman,”), and had some beautiful meals. The Yosemite Valley Lodge, with its “family bunk room” was the perfect spot to lay our heads after each full day of adventure, and our souls were all filled with the beauty of this magical National Park.

Nothing but one of the most gorgeous views of the entire country in front of them, and the kids just wanted to throw some snowballs…
