A Visit To Mammoth Cave National Park, Kentucky

Family Fun at Mammoth Cave

Beneath the forested land of southern Kentucky lies the most extensive cave system in the world, Mammoth Cave National Park. These nearly 400 miles of passageways and routes, some of which are still being explored and discovered, provide the environment for an amazing diversity of over 130 life-forms. While it is clear that the cave was likely explored over 4,000 years ago, it was rediscovered in 1798, and visitors can discover the wonders inside through various cave tour options.

Mammoth Cave is truly INCREDIBLE.

Following our time in Nashville during our Summer 2020 RV Road Trip, our family drove an hour and a half north to Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. We had arranged for a stay at the Mammoth Cave Campground for the night, located right in the park and adjacent to the Visitor Center.

Mammoth Cave National Park: An Incredible Wonder.
