Lake Life In the RV: A Weekend In South Lake Tahoe, Nevada

Snowy Family Fun In South Lake Tahoe

In November of 2020, our family escaped in our RV to South Lake Tahoe to enjoy a long weekend with the kids since they had a day off school. We stayed on the South Shore of Tahoe at the Zephyr Cove RV Park, and loved this location for exploring the South Shore of the lake. Highlights of our weekend included hiking, racing remote control cars in the hills, doing puzzles, playing in the snow, and watching the Notre Dame versus Clemson football game. It was such amazing family weekend “off the grid!  For anyone looking to visit the South Lake Tahoe area, the Zephyr Cove Resort is a fabulous destination, and also offers a full-service marina in the summer months with rentals as well, in addition to a restaurant and snack bar.

Our first afternoon in South Lake Tahoe, we opted for a short lakeside hike from the Zephyr Cove Resort, before returning to grill dinner and play some games.  The views of the lake from our hike were SPECTACTULAR!

The next morning, we woke up to the most magical blanket of snow!

We had a blast playing outside in the snow, going for a snowy hike, and working on a puzzle in the RV. We even watched the ND vs. Clemson football game, and our rally caps seemed to be the reason for the victory!

Seeing Lake Tahoe in the Wintertime is MAGICAL!
