Vancouver, British Columbia With Kids

Exploring Vancouver With Your Family

Following our time in Mount Revelstoke National Park on our Summer 2019 Road Trip, we drove 7 hours west across Canada to Vancouver, British Columbia. It was a long day of driving, but we were thrilled to reunite with Grace that evening at the airport in Vancouver, after she had spent the past week back in California attending a camp for her choir. While we waited near the airport for her flight to land, Justin took the boys to the movies, and I took advantage of some alone time in the RV for the first time all summer and read my book. After picking up our girl at the airport, we arrived at our RV park late that night, nestled under the Lionsgate Bridge in Vancouver.

Vancouver, British Columbia: What an INCREDIBLE city!

The next morning, we all woke up early, and hoofed it over to meet some of our family, who live in Vancouver, at the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. We had a wonderful time exploring the canopy in the forest, walking the maze of bridges, learning about the wildlife there, and playing and catching up with our family members. This suspension bridge park is a fantastic way to spend the day, or part of it, with your kids in the Vancouver area.

After our time at Capilano, we took a cab (the kids loved riding in a taxi) over to Granville Island. Our family really enjoyed checking out the shops and public market there. We bought an exorbitant amount of fresh fruit, ate some incredible food, listened to the live music, and watched the boats and seagulls and fish from the end of the docks. What a fabulous time we all had together!

Vancouver was an incredible stop on our trip, and our family was extremely grateful for such an incredible extended time in Canada. From that point of our Summer 2019 RV Road Trip, it was back to the U.S!
